Practice practice!

 I was up late last night working on this blue block for our family room quilt.  I wanted to try out several different designs and how they would go together.  I really love the border with the circles inside of it - not so crazy about the wavy lines in the inner border - they were more of an afterthought.  The thing about quilting this densely is that when the quilt is washed the fabric puckers up around the quilting giving a real vintage look as well as softening the quilt and making it more cuddly.  

Here I've quilted a modern sun.  This is fun and I think it would look nice on many different types of quilts.  Maybe next time I will try this with a square in the middle.
